Could you please describe the installation path you've chosen?

Do you install using pip? what is your Python distribution? what is the output of your PATH command?

Could you maybe install Anaconda and then OpenPIV from pip?

>> pip install openpiv --upgrade
>> pip install progressbar

Dear openpiv,

I am trying to run openpiv in windows 7 and I get the error "ImportError: No module named lib", when trying to import openpiv.lib.

I have followed the workaround suggestions on http://openpiv.readthedocs.io/en/latest/src/installation_instruction.html, however the problem remains.

Can you help me with this issue?

Kind regards

Paul

If you don't need pythonxy for some other reason, I recommend Anaconda - it's definitely one of the best distributions today and make life much easier. We also plan to release constantly through anaconda (using >> conda install -c conda-forge openpiv), but right this week we have a problem with the version 0.20.5 and therefore after installing Anaconda, >> pip install openpiv will work

We have not yet ready to release the version for 3.5, so you use 2.7 Python and as far as I remember both 32 and 64 bit would work.

Thank you for quick answer!

Currently my python version is:

C:\>python

Python 2.7.10 (default, May 23 2015, 09:40:32) [MSC v.1500 32 bit (Intel)] on win32

>>>

which is installed through python(xy).

Should I remove python(xy) and install Anaconda?

If so which version do you recommend 2.7 or 3.5, and 32 or 64 bit?
