Hi  Experts

I want to synthesize OpenPiton +Ariane chip, but since the lab don't have the Synopsys Reference Methodology tools, I plan to create my own synthesis scripts. Which module should I start synthesizing? I have tried synthesizing chip.tmp.v, but it seems not to include other submodules. Is this normal, or do I need to synthesize other modules first?

Best regards

I expect there's an error on your part if chip.tmp.v isn't including other modules (e.g. you didn't put them in your file list). However it's very large so I wouldn't recommend to start with it.

I would suggest that you check out OPDB to see some of the smaller modules that might be easier to start with: https://github.com/PrincetonUniversity/OPDB

Probably the easier ones to start with are ifu_esl* ones which are very small. Then something like dynamic_node or perhaps sparc_mul which are a bit larger.

Thanks,
Jon
