Hey, I am exploring OpenPiton framework. In the docs from the official page it says it supports OpenSPARC T1. It is also said in other places that it is compatible with RISC-V 32/64. I am a bit confused. Currently what architecture is it based on? Also it says that it theoretically support 64k cores per chip and in other sources it says that upto 500 million cores are possible. Can you please explain this?

The PDF docs and website have not been updated for some time. You could check out the OpenPiton at 5 paper for a more up to date description: https://jbalkind.github.io/docs/openpitonat5.pdf

Thanks,
Jon
