Hello,

Does anyone have ever used SimJTAG (instantiated inside riscv_peripherals.sv)?

Thanks,
Dimitris

Hi Dimitris,

My recollection is that Michael added that from PULP infra at the same time the other peripherals were added. I don't think that I've used it but my vague recollection was that it required a DPI or similar library to hook up to something outside, maybe openocd? I checked back in my email from the group and I don't see any clear signs of someone saying they were running it successfully (though people often don't declare their successes to me)

Thanks,
Jon

Hello Jon,

Thanks for the reply! Yes I think it should hook up to OpenOCD, as it's mentined in Chipyard's doc. But this was implemented in Rocket chip, I though someone would have done the same for Openpiton (since it has SimJTAG in sources). I will try to get the needed libraries from Rocket chip.

Thanks,
Dimitris
