NS Fare Units (TE)

Hi,

I see that the NS Fare Table only goes up to 200 on their website and 250 in the file I found here: http://data.ndovloket.nl/tarieven/ns/?order=D - Prijstabel HRN ERET+TVR.xlsx.

Do you know where I can find a complete table with the fare units (TE) and their corresponding costs?

The fare cap of NS looks to be 200 units for a single leg, but I think the
250 has to do with people that would transfer from a different operator to
NS.

There is none, all individual operators publish their individual parts.
Payment systems integrate their own tables.

Hi Yochi, 

There is not ‘one’ table for the whole Netherlands, the reason for this is that depending which route you choice different tariffs are applicable, a good example is between Nijmegen and Roermond for example. You can go with the NS via Den Bosch or take a direct train of Arriva, for both routes different tariffs apply. Every operator/concession do have their own tables. It’s quite complex to get it right unfortunately. Hi,

To follow up here, I see the distance matrix but do not see the tariff unit conversion into euros. Where can I find such a table? I see that NS has one but it only goes up to 200.

200 is the fare capping for one leg.

An ns.nl Maastricht -> Workum has the same price as Maastricht ->
Leeuwarden. Hence everything is capped by the 27.90.

Thanks - but what about for other agencies? Are they also capped at 200/ 27.90?

Also, I have a question about OV-chipkaart distance-based fares. I see that the base fare for all agencies is the same, but each agency has its own per kilometer fare. However, I also see that some agencies have different prices per kilometer for different provinces/regions within the agency. Do you have a chart or a table that summarizes this information? Maybe by zones? I looked at the zone file in the fares folder of the open data and did not see that those zones matched what I found. I would appreciate more information here. Thank you!

Given that the Dutch Railways site for a multi agency trip never goes above
it that can be safely assumed.

I don't know if this is a true statement. Since that base fare is also used
for things like night busses with fixed fares if I recall corrected. And
obviously discounts apply for young and elderly.
