Hi all, tomorrow will be the TEN YEAR anniversary of Open Oregon Educational Resources! We’ll celebrate this milestone at the Statewide OER Symposium on May 2. In the meantime, I’m feeling grateful for this always-interesting job and the wonderful people it has connected me with. And now back to the newsletter… Amy

Upcoming professional development hosted by Open Oregon Educational Resources

  • Equity and Open Education Faculty Cohort Registration. Join a statewide 2-part Equity and Open Education Faculty Cohort! Participants will earn a $200 stipend upon completion of “Part 1 - Explore” and will have the option to earn an additional $300 stipend in “Part 2 - Implement.” Register by January 10, 2025.
  • Equity and Open Education Teaching & Learning Support Cohort Registration. Join a statewide 2-part Equity and Open Education Teaching & Learning Support Cohort!   • OER Course Redesign Training: Open Ed Week Sprint Registration. Redesign your course with OER in a one-week sprint and earn a $750 stipend! Register by February 24.

Calls for proposals in the open education field

  • The Library Publishing Coalition is accepting proposals for the 2025 Virtual Library Publishing Forum, taking place May 5–8, 2025. Proposals are due January 6.
  • The Language OER Conference, hosted by the Open Language Resource Center at the University of Kansas, seeks proposals. The conference will be held virtually on Saturday, March 8. Proposals are due January 6.
  • The Northeast OER Summit Committee call for proposals is open. The Summit takes place virtually March 3-4, 2025. Proposals are due January 6.
  • The Open Education Talks 2025 call for proposals is open. Sessions will take place virtually every Weds in March. Proposals for 15-minute lightning talks and digital posters are due January 10.
