Hi all, we're closing out Open Education Week today from 11:30-1 with a 90-minute Webinar: AI, Copyright, and Open Education: What We Know Now, cohosted by Open Oregon Educational Resources and Copyright First Responders Pacific Northwest. 

Anyone on campus at WOU today can also come to the Werner University Center Pacific Room and find WOU’s OER team from 9-10 to learn about the value of representation and access to diverse voices by promoting available LGBTQ2SIA+ Open Educational Resources.

• TODAY! 90-minute Webinar: AI, Copyright, and Open Education: What We Know Now. Join the Copyright First Responders Pacific Northwest to explore the emerging intersection of AI, copyright, and open educational resources. March 6, 11:30-1.
• Beyond Compliance to Universal Design of OER. Suzanne Wakim will discuss how you can apply universal design and open pedagogy to create a truly awesome OER. March 13, 12-1.
• Register for a Virtual OER Review Workshop taking place on one of three dates: May 11 – 1-2 p.m.; May 13 – 5-6 p.m.; or May 14 – 12-1 p.m. After the workshop, you’ll receive a $200-$300 stipend for writing a review of an open educational resource.

• The call for proposals is open for OpenCon Ohio 2026, taking place online May 15. Proposals are due March 20.
• The call for paper submissions is open for Pedagogy Opened: Innovative Theory and Practice. Submissions are due March 23.
• The editors of Reflections on Open Educational Practices: Intentions, Nuances, and Complexities seek book chapter proposals. Submissions are due March 27.
• The call for proposals is open for OEGlobal 2026, taking place virtually and in Cambridge MA October 7-9. Proposals are due March 30.
• The call for proposals is open for the Open Education Conference, taking place virtually October 27-29. Proposals are due April 3.
• The call for submissions is open for Journal of Open Educational Resources in Higher Education. Submissions are due May 1.
