OpenStax Assignable question

Hi all, 

Is anyone using OpenStax Assignable? I've had two different people ask me about it recently and would love to hear how it's going if anyone has adopted it.

I have used Assignable for several terms now, starting when they were in beta and continuing to the present. Overall, the students seem to do well with it and like it. You can select activities and point values to customize for your class needs. I use Canvas, and the grades sync into the Grades area. On occasion, minor issues arise, such as a video not working or a student completing work that doesn’t show in Canvas. In these instances, I can go in and check on things, then input a grade manually. Their tech support has been helpful whenever I have reached out. If anyone has any questions, feel free to email me directly.

Hi all, 

I’m also using Assignable for my psychology courses, and it’s been going well. They have a variety of content you can choose from to assign to students, including multiple choice, videos, readings, etc. I’ve had similar issues that Alishia mentioned, but it’s all been manageable.

I used the beta version for biology and it was OK. We dropped it once students had to pay. I'm considering it again though.
