Medical Billing and Coding resources

Hi all! I have a faculty member teaching Medical Insurance Billing and Medical Coding courses at Clackamas Community College who is looking for OER and/or free resources to help lower textbook costs for her students. 

Does anyone have any recommendations for resources I can point her toward?

Hi Justine, 

You could check out the CRS materials that Rick Durling has archived in LBCC's repository: https://libarchive.linnbenton.edu/catalog?f%5Bcreator_sim%5D%5B%5D=Rick+Durling&locale=en. I think this is a better place to access them than SkillsCommons - for example, for CRS 110, the LB site also offers a link to the materials in Canvas. This is my bias showing since I'm terminally confused by SkillsCommons records :)

I'll be curious to see if anyone else chimes in about this topic!

I would love to find resources for medical coding and health information management as well but I have found nothing for medical coding and very limited poor quality materials for health information management.

If a good grant were available to write medical coding OER materials, I would love to help with that.
