• TODAY! Beyond Compliance to Universal Design of OER. Suzanne Wakim will discuss how you can apply universal design and open pedagogy to create a truly awesome OER. March 13, 12-1.
• Register for a Virtual OER Review Workshop taking place on one of three dates: May 11 – 1-2 p.m.; May 13 – 5-6 p.m.; or May 14 – 12-1 p.m. After the workshop, you’ll receive a $200-$300 stipend for writing a review of an open educational resource.

Calls for proposals in the open education field

• The call for proposals is open for OpenCon Ohio 2026, taking place online May 15. Proposals are due March 20.
• The call for paper submissions is open for Pedagogy Opened: Innovative Theory and Practice. Submissions are due March 23.
• The editors of Reflections on Open Educational Practices: Intentions, Nuances, and Complexities seek book chapter proposals. Submissions are due March 27.
• The call for proposals is open for OEGlobal 2026, taking place virtually and in Cambridge MA October 7-9. Proposals are due March 30.
• The State Library of Oregon is now accepting applications for upcoming vacancies on the Statewide Database Licensing Advisory Committee. This is an opportunity to weigh in on resources that can be used as course materials. Applications are due March 30.
• The call for proposals is open for the Open Education Conference, taking place virtually October 27-29. Proposals are due April 3.
• The call for proposals is open for ILAGO’s Oregon Information Literacy Summit. Proposals are due April 13. 
• Open RN seeks peer reviewers for 5 open nursing textbooks. This is a paid role. Sign up by April 30.
• The call for submissions is open for Journal of Open Educational Resources in Higher Education. Submissions are due May 1.
• The call for submissions is open for the second issue of the Journal of Open Initiatives in Academic Libraries. Submissions are due May 10.

OER-related job opportunities

• Columbia Gorge Community College is hiring a Director of Library and Learning Commons position that includes OER and copyright support. The position is open until filled and applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
• Library Futures is hiring paid student interns for remote part-time positions. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
• The University of Wisconsin–Stout is hiring an Open Education and Outreach Librarian Position. Apply by April 1.
• Iowa State University is hiring a University Librarian whose position includes open-related areas. Apply by April 3.
