Dear Colleagues,
I’m reaching out with a quick introduction and a couple of invitations. My name is Victoria Brame, and I’m the new Marketing and Communications Manager at The Rebus Foundation. Some of you may know me from my previous role with Lone Star College and various open education initiatives in Texas. I’ve long admired Rebus' collaborative, community-driven approach to open education, and I’m excited to be part of this work supporting fellow educators in creating meaningful, accessible learning experiences.
Supplemental Materials Development Certificate
As many start looking ahead to Fall 2025, summer can be a valuable time to revisit course materials, whether to refresh existing resources, fill in gaps, or experiment with new approaches to supporting students. If you’re planning this kind of work, the Rebus Supplemental Materials Development Certificate offers a structured, collaborative way to focus that effort.
Over six weeks, you'll have space to develop open, adaptable materials for your course while connecting with a community of educators who are also thinking critically about inclusive design, accessibility, and authentic assessment. You'll receive feedback, share ideas, and create practical resources grounded in learning science and open education principles. This opportunity is more than just training: it’s a chance to reflect on your practice, collaborate with peers, and find joy in the creative process of designing materials that meet students where they are.
Our next cohort begins in June 2025, and we’re mindful of making the course accessible to as many people as possible through sliding scale rates and fee waiver options.
Course Dates: June 2-July 11
Course Modality: Asynchronous with three optional live sessions
Course Outcomes: Participants completing 80% or more of the course deliverables will be issued a microcredential including a badge and digital certificate.
