Dear OpenOlat community

Several weeks ago we release OpenOlat 15.5. The OpenOlat 15.5 release is an iterative evolution of the 10 -15 release series. You can download it from here: https://www.openolat.org/downloads.html

The most important highlights are:

Rebranding of learning resource "survey" to "form"
New course element "form" to collect all kind of data. Think of a "google forms" like functionaly in your course
Provide templates in the task course element that shall be used by the students
Open documents for correction directly in the document editor instead of download-edit-upoad in the task course element
See the test cockpit view and do the manual grading of open test ites directly on the course element test wihout the need to open the assessment tool
Adjust the score of a question for all examinees in a bulk action, e.g. when you have an invalid test item in your test
Specify fine granular user premissions on certeain course elements like forum, folder, blog etc using user, group and date rules
The course document tool can now access the course folder and also a linked shared folder for easy reuse of documents
The exam course wizards allows now to configured the assessment mode with a simple click
E-portfolio pages can now be re-used in multiple portfolio folders
Use the taxonmy structure to pre-define competencies that then can be used by students in their e-portfolio to tag their pages with the competencies they achieved during their studies
Empty tables have never looked that good. A placeholder image and text explains the user why they have nothing to see
The outdated cog-wheel icon has been replaced with the now popular ⋮ icon
Use the table header in the selection column to select all itesm on the page or in the table instead of the links that were located below the table in previous releases.
Get notified immediately when someone adds you to a group and you have to confirm the group membership
The SCORM 1.2 implementation has ben replaced with a completely new engine. This removes incompatibilities with some contents that have been introduced by new security restrictions in todays browsers
This release also adds beta support for LTI 1.3. This is a major update that can be used alongside of the existing 1.2 implementation. OpenOlat acts now as an LTI 1.3 tool and plattform, this means you can embed OpenOlat courses and groups in any other LMS that supports LTI 1.3 and of course also embedd LTI tools such as h5p.com oder Zoom in OpenOlat. Note this is beta, please provide feedback if you are using this new infrastructure!
