OpenOlat 16.2 released

Dear OpenOlat community

Right in time for spring we relased OpenOlat 16.2. The OpenOlat 16.2 release is an iterative evolution of the 16 release series. You can download it from here: https://www.openolat.org/downloads.html

The most important highlights are: 

• New grading module
  • school like grading scales
  • level-type grading scales for non-school setups
  • linear scales, scales with manually controlled breaking points ins scale
• Exam chat tool for exam supersvision
  • one to one chat for direct interaction between examinee and supervisor
  • if required opt into a video conference with screen sharing using BBB or MS Teams to help students
  • raise-hand feature for students during test
  • broadcast message to all examinees during test
  • new communication center for coach with system wide exam chat notifications and dispatch board for big test setups with multiple coaches
• New Safe Exam Browser configuration
  • configure SEB directly in OpenOlat, no need to upload and distribute config files anymore
  • deploy config files directly via OpenOlat
  • managed setups with external configurations still possible
• Improvements in the assessment tool
  • new cockpit with visual overview, quick links to filters and more
  • harmonization of release process of scoring and grading between various course elements, lists and views
• Bulk export for test results with PDF, new download center
• Visual formula editor
  • create formulas using LateX or a visual editor (cortex.js)
  • allow richt-text formatting in essay question type including the visual formula editor for formula related questions in tests
  • new formula block element in content editor 
• Test statistics with summary on section level
• Improvements in course
  • new quick-add feature in course editor toolbar
  • new teaser text for improved course advertisement
  • new full-window mode for SCORM modules
  • shifting of course element specific dates in course copy wizard
  • options to copy content of document and tutor folder in course copy wizard
  • reset reading confirmation by coaches
• PDF export for content packages
• Control of publication of information and maintenance messages
• General accessibility improvements
• Upgraded HTML editor
• Migration of OpenOlat documentation to new documentation website
