Validation mail not working in 20.04 / 20.05

Hi all,
after upgrade to self hosted community ed. 20.05 (and it was the case in 20.04, also)
validation e-mails dont contain the validation link anymore.

"...

Bitte vervollständigen Sie zunächst Ihre Registrierung über folgenden Link:

{3}
..."

seems that the templating doesnt find the "{}" variable...

Does anyone else have similar issues?

Hi

This has been change altogether, there is no validation link anymore. The system now sends an OTP instead that you can type in to validate the email.

Which process do you use that generates this message? Screenshot?

Did you check your customized texts? It seems you customized the email text in the past based on the old template. Now we modified the template to the new style but your customizations do not include those changes.

Hi,
thats right. We've customized (ages ago) the mail templates.

This was done by creating
customizing/lang/overlay/org/olat/registration/_i18n/LocalStrings_de__customizing.properties
customizing/lang/overlay/org/olat/registration/_i18n/LocalStrings_en__customizing.properties

Is this still the valid way to go for?

How can we get an idea, where to find the current template variables?

Need to change it from '{3}' to ???
