Warn MailManager

Hello everyone!

Lately the following error messages appear more often in the logs:

2021-04-07 22:10:01.471 [schedulerFactoryBean_Worker-3] WARN   MailManagerImpl ^%^ I-J5048 ^%^ org.olat.core.util.mail.manager.MailManagerImpl ^%^  ^%^  ^%^  ^%^  ^%^ Could not send mail: Invalid Addresses

2021-04-07 22:10:01.471 [schedulerFactoryBean_Worker-3] WARN   NotificationsManagerImpl ^%^ I-J5049 ^%^ org.olat.core.commons.services.notifications.manager.NotificationsManagerImpl ^%^  ^%^  ^%^  ^%^  ^%^ Could not send email to identity 9371653. (returncode=4, to=Identity[key=9371653], org.olat.basesecurity.IdentityImpl@9b1cf208)

The mailbox seems to be correctly stored in the olat.local.properties. Do you have a hint what the problem could be?

Hi Kurt

Lookup the user with the ID 9371653 and check the mail address of that user. Then check your system mail setting, e.g. the which technical sender address is used and if your smpt server is allowed to send mails for this domain. Normally you set the fromemail to an existing no-reply address of the same domain as your smtp server.

Thanks for the information, Florian

The affected mail addresses exist, are valid, correctly defined in OO and also reachable. I was able to test this.  A copy to the sender is sent successfully over OO. This means that the SMTP server is working correctly. Do you have a further tip?

Problem solved. It was the wrong smtp.from entry in the config. Thanks Florian!
