Hello we are doing a fresh install of latest version of OpenOlat, and planning on staying with mysql as db. We are unsure if we should upgrade my sql to latest version or stay with version we are on (5.6, pretty old) . Do you have any guidance? Thank you!

Hello
I think 5.6 is still OK but I would strongly encourage you to upgrade to a more recent version like 8.0 or 9.0. The primary reason is that we don't have any installations or testing done on 5.7 / 5.6 anymore. We use MySQL 8.0 or 9.0.
