OpenOlat 19.1 released

Dear OpenOlat community

Some weeks ago we released OpenOlat 19.1. The OpenOlat 19.1 release is an iterative evolution of the 19.x release series. It includes also several important security improvements, thus we recommend updating to the newest 19.1.x release as soon as possible.

  • New course element for learning path courses
  • Lets users select the activities parts of their learning path jurney
  • Ideally to create "select x out of y options" scenarios
• Peer review
  • Improvements in the "peer review" feature in the course element "task"

  • Redesigned UI in the execution of the enrollment process
  • Automatically run multiple potential executions to find the best match
  • The action to trigger enrollment confirmation mail manually
• Open Badges
  • New conditions to trigger Badge on course element completion
  • Redesigned wizard when creating badges 
  • Overall UX improvements
• Subscription / notification widget
  • Redesigned widget to manage notifications and subscriptions, e.g. in blogs, folders, forum...
  • Quick view of last changes without the need to create a subscription
• Other
  • General UX improvements throughout the system
  • Various accessibility improvements, Aria labels and contrast
  • Write access to SharePoint Online integrated shares
  • Access to users project list in user management
  • Various improvements in content creator
  • Preselection of specific course roles over global admin roles when opening a course
• Technical
  • Many third-party library updates
  • Updates to TinyMCE 6.8
  • CSRF activation by default
  • Various security related improvements

If you rather prefer cloning from the repository, make sure you clone from the 19.1 maintenance branch and not from master:
