Each Kinect must be plugged into its own USB-Hub. That´s what i know about it.

Thanks for your reply~ What did you mean plugged into its own USB-Hub?When I plugged Kinect-A into USB-Hub-A and Kinect-B into USB-Hub-B, and they work well if there is only one kinect being plugged. But not well for both.

From what i know it should work, if they are really two different USB-hubs. Unfortunately, i have no own experiences on this.

as said, each Kinect is a hi-speed usb hub, to which the camera & motor are connected.
what do you see on the properties of the 2nd kinect camera?

I also have the same problem while using multi kinects on my laptop PC.

My ASUS laptop PC's OS is Windows XP. The laptop PC has 3 USB ports.

Every single Kinect on any USB port actually work well, but I plug the other Kinect on the second port.

The Device Manager appear the same picture as the first post.

The second Kinect camera cannot work, but the second set of Kinect Motor and Kinect Audio is normal.

I also check the content of the second Kinect on Device Manager and found it get Position 0.

My Kinects are Kinect for XBox360.  The kinect driver is SensorKinect091-Bin-Win32-v5.1.0.25.msi.

Thanks a lot if anyone can help me.

I will comment with my experience.

Each Kinect should be connected to different USB 'hub'.
On my machine, I have 4 USB ports in front (which I think is part of same USB hub) and 4 USB ports on the back side (which is second hub).
If I connect one Kinect in front and one on the back side, it works very fine (first time I had to update the driver of Kinect camera from Microsoft Kinect camera to PrimeSense Kinect camera).

But if I connect both Kinects on the same hub, it works in the same way as you are said.

Regards
Pankaj

As pankaj mentionned, you need a seperate "hub" for each device. The behavior you are describing points towards only having one USB hub. Usualy, if you have 3 USB ports, you will only have 1 HUB, and 99% of laptops won't have more than 2.

I have two hubs and it works fine when I use seperate ones, but I get the same results as you if I plug two devices into the same HUB.

Also note that you cannot have seperate skeleton information (User generators will be the same) if you two devices are running on the same process. To get distinct skeletons, I found that a client-server architecture is the easiest and most flexible solution. Then you can even have as many devices on as many different computers as you want!
