I found two links where I could download the OpenNI wrapper for UNITY.
But Im confused as to which one is better
Can someone pls help me?
https://github.com/OpenNI/UnityWrapper
https://github.com/tinkerer/UnityWrapper

The OpenNI one looks official but its older and the tinkerer one looks
modified and new but it says there are some problems.
So which one should I use??

And after installing, how to i get it working. I searched on the net
but couldnt find any guide as such. I would be greatful if someone
could give me a link to start with

Cheers

New NITE wrapper in NITE latest release is better. Check installed NITE  in your system drive and navigate to PrimeSence/NITE/wrappers/unity.

Hey,
thnx for that info.
But id need some more help. ive installed the openni drivers from
http://kinect.dashhacks.com/kinect-guides/2011/02/02/beginners-guide-setting-your-microsoft-kinect-windows-pc-hacking.
I used the files from the link but these are older files so it doesnt
have the wrappers in them. I tried installing from the latest version
form openni.org for my 64 bit windows but it didnt work. The version i
got from the site was for 32 bit and it worked. But I tried the
unstable release. Could you help me out on installing the new version
correctly. First id like to know if i should install the unstable or
the stable release. and then whether i should download the 64 bit
version or the 32 bit version. My computer is a 64-bit windows 7.

Lets say i download the files which u say, is there any particular
order in which they should be installed.

Id really appreciate your help

Cheers
Ibrahim

You should install the unstable win32 branch of everything to use the Unity wrapper that is packaged in the latest NITE Win32 release.
Get the OpenNI and NITE middleware them from OpenNI.org
OpenNI:
http://openni.org/downloadfiles/openni-binaries/latest-unstable/108-openni-unstable-build-for-windows-x86-32-bit-v1-1-0/download

NITE:
http://openni.org/downloadfiles/openni-compliant-middleware-binaries/latest-unstable/115-primesense-nite-unstable-build-for-windows-x86-32-bit-v1-3-1/download
NITE key:
0KOIk2JeIBYClPWVnMoRKn5cdY4=

and if you're using Kinect you want SensorKinect:
https://github.com/avin2/SensorKinect/raw/unstable/Bin/SensorKinect-Win-OpenSource32-5.0.1.msi

install unity3d if you haven't already
unity3d.com

And the Wrapper for OpenNI should be in the NITE Wrappers directory. If it's under the Program Files, you'll need to copy the wrapper to a directory with write permissions.
