Asking About Skeleton Joints

Hi All,

i'm looking at XnSkeletonJoint enum and it has 24 different joints compared to Kinect for Win SDK only has 20 joints

i want to ask for additional 4 joints (left collar/right collar/left fingertip/right fingertip) are they usable or not?

i am little bit confused about these 4 joints, are they for future use and not yet implemented? and also it seems OpenNI got lack of image documentation for joint position and i am wondering where are the positions of left/right collar? are they on neck?

you guessed right, these are only there for the future right now, so they are not usable.

i have installed latest Open NI SDK version (openni-win32-1.5.2.23-dev). From this i can see the Finger tip joints from joints collection , but when i use this joint for capturing data it's throwing exception.

Is this Joint still not supporting in latest SDK?
 
We need to use the fingertip point position in our application along with other joint positions, is there any other alternative to do this? Could you please help us on this?
