"Failed to open the file!" Error in NiViewer application

When I run the NiViewer sample application I get this error:

./NiViewer
Open failed: Failed to open the file!
Press any key to continue . . .

This appears to be a status message from the XN_OS package. (XnOS.h)

My question, what file is it looking for, and why can't it open the
file? My hunch is that it is looking for some XML file that does not
have the correct permissions, but I can't be sure.

I am running MacOSX 10.6

I was able to fix the problem. You must have the latest UNSTABLE
version of OpenNI installed for the SensorKinect module to work
properly. I was using the latest stable release.
