I have a plain question. Is it possible in Linux, Ubuntu, using ROS to read out the Kinect microphone array using OpenNI?

When I have to believe this page on ROS, http://www.ros.org/wiki/kinect, I presume it is possible. The stack is deprecated but I have no reason to believe the "audio support" is not there anymore?

I can find 0.0 documentation on OpenNI or ROS about this topic. Some webpages say OpenNI does not support it, some say it does.

If it OpenNI does support it, where can I find some documentation?

Hey!

I'm very interested in the audio signal from the Kinect too, but as you, I have not found anything on-line that can help me.
It's possible using the Windows SDK, but as far as I know, not for other platforms.

If someone knows how to get the audio signal, I'd be very glad to hear that :)

Cheers!

You can use HARK, http://winnie.kuis.kyoto-u.ac.jp/HARK/wiki.cgi?page=HARK-KINECT

However I have a big question regadering HARK and OpenNI, namely if the driver from HARK will not interfere with the driver from OpenNI, vica versa.
