Hi everyone !
I have a very strange issue : I can't see Kinect Camera but I can see
the Kinect Motor device in my driver panel in windows. So when I want
to use any sample of OpenNI, I got : "The device is not connected".
I first used the stable version of OpenNI & Sensor & Nite and all of
them worked fine. So I wanted to use the unstable release to get the
benefits of C# wrappers.
So I uninstalled all softwares from the software panel of Windows :
* OpenNI
* PrimeSense Sensor
* PrimeSense driver
* Nite
(I did not choose uninstall software from the computer in the driver
panel of windows, and this could be my mistake)
Then I installed :
* OpenNI unstable (5.0.0.25)
* Avin2 unstable PrimeSense Sensor
(At this step I could only see Kinect Motor)
* And Nite unstable
After that, I tried to install/uninstall/reinstall each software but I
got still my error. (I also tried to go back to stable release, but
nothing changed)
Also, when I uninstall completly the drivers from the driver panel of
windows, my computer only recognize the Xbox NUI Motor device, and not
Xbox NUI Camera nor Xbox NUI Audio. I just got Xbox NUI Motor.
If I install a driver again, I got PrimeSense > Kinect Motor, and no
Kinect Camera, Xbox NUI Camera or Xbox NUI Audio.
I also tried all usb ports of my laptop and I still have the error.
Well it is just making me mad !
I think that I have and old version of the driver for Kinect Camera
and it did not update while I was installing the unstable release. But
now, I can't even see it with the show hidden driver option of the
driver panel ! So I don't know how to completly remove those driver
and start from a clean new beginning with default Xbox NUI drivers...
Thanks for helping me !
My config:
Windows 7 x64 on laptop
Kinect plugged directly to the laptop (got a blinking green led when a
driver is installed)
