Hello all, I have been trying to compile the latest ONL base image and run into nothing but problems. Ive tried on Debian 8 and keep running into the same issues.
Also tried the docker method on Ubuntu 20,04 LTS.

I currently have ONIE on deb 8  Version 2.02 (Latest supported for backward compatibility) which I compiled for redstone XP and ONL DEB 8 (Jun-26-2018 16f97c4) ONL Accepted image.

I cant seem to get OpenNSL 3.5,0.x  to compile on the switch or in Ubuntu for that matter and keep running into broken repo issues and also trying to find the correct toolchain seems to be a headache as GCC 4.8 and 4.9 for this are well out of date and Broadcom docs reference the strangest versions (one offs) of the library.

I have not tried compiling OF-DPA for this yet because of my woes with OpenNSL because I kinda think I need both.

Would it be possible to slipstream a prebuilt image from another vendor like dell or accton/Edgecore possibly by changing the files directly?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks, EB

More info, I would be OK with running older versions so if someone has a complete image with OpenNSL and OF-DPA for the Redstone XP D2060 that would be welcomed as well. I don't know if broadcom will allow me access to the SDK for either OpenNSL or OF-DPA since im not a giant company and have almost no budget and this stuff is old and im not even sure if Steven Noble is even a group member anymore since he is now working on the DENT Project(?) i think.

My goal is to have two of these old reference development switches up and running and talking with one another in a lab only environment to develop some SDN applications on top of ONL in an linux agnostic manner. Preferably with OpenNSL v3.2.0.1+OF-DPA.
