Hi Babu,
The accton ofdpa binaries will not work on the Celestica box.
If this was an accton box, the quick fix would be to copy /etc/onl/platform over to /etc/onl_platform and try the install again. In onl 2 we moved the files into their own directory.

Hi Nandan,
Do you have access to the odp (source) of ofdpa from broadcom? If so I can give you a general walk through. It is very similar to building opennsl.

Hi Nandan,
The github code is only the public part of ofdpa, you should be able to recompile the kernel modules but that is all I believe.
To compile ofdpa proper you need to get the source from broadcom. To make a package, go into the output directory and the sub directory of the system you want to build. The command you use to create a package is "make package".

Hi Babu,
Did it install the files anyway? The version thing caught me out earlier, I am missing the way to set that. The kernel requirements seem to be hard coded in. I would need to edit the package to fix it.
If it installed the files, you should be able to start it as the kernel modules are compiled for onl.

Hi,I have enough information, just struggling to compile the latest ofdpa on the 3.16 kernel. OF-DPA does not like post uefi kernels. I hope to have something tomorrow.
January 31, 2017 at 9:55 PM
Hi Sachidananda,
Compiling OF-DPA 3.0 against a kernel with UAPI split (post 3.7) is not working and we are using the 3.16 kernel for all x86 systems now. I am able to compile OpenNSL for the same box against 3.16 so I suspect it is something in how OF-DPA is designed. I have someone looking into it with me but I am unsure when we will have a solution.
