Hi All,

I have installed Open Network Linux in the quanta switch using ONIE but was unable to route any IP address through the switch.

Actually, I have done the only installation of the ONL by using install_url and rebooted the switch.

After reboot, I have assigned a static IP address to the ma1 interface. I'm not finding any documentation to proceed forward.

Is there anything I'm missing in the installation and configuration?

Please Help me out in this.

Regards,
Karthi

Hello,

In order to forward traffic you will need two things.

1 a driver for the switching chip, in this case the trident2. You would obtain this from quanta. It could be the broadcom sdk, ofdpa or opennsl.

2 a forwarding agent such as indigo (included with ofdpa)

Thanks Steven for the reply.

But I'm not able to install. Any of the options provided above.

I have tried installing the QNOS latest on the particular switch but it is failing and throwing error as below,

Fdisk partition of SD card
SD card create partition error !!
umount: can't umount
restarting system

PFA of the error picture.

Please help me out to configure the switch with some installation of NOS which work like QNOS without any additional packages.

Regards,
Karthi

Hi Karthi,

I would try the onie uninstall first to remove ONL (or any other os) as QNOS may be expecting the disk to be setup a specific way.
