Hi! I am currently working with OpenMVS for 3D reconstruction and I have a question regarding the input pipeline.

Specifically, is it possible to generate a .mvs file using a dense point cloud that was created externally, instead of relying on the DensifyPointCloud step provided by OpenMVS? In other words, can an externally generated dense point cloud be integrated into the OpenMVS workflow to continue with the following steps, such as mesh reconstruction?

Thank you very much for your time and for your excellent work on OpenMVS.

Best regards,

Yes, you can. You simply have to generate the MVS with the dense point cloud, filling the fields of MVS format, described in detail in Interface.h
