Ha. Good point. Some years back when I looked into getting a json
dataset there was no such official thing avaible at the CIA website.

Great news. I wasn't expecting that :-). Do you have any more
information or documentation about the json country profile datasets?
Is this now official and announced / published anywhere?

Before the site changed, you could put .json on any of the pages to get the json version of the page.

It looks like you can still use these links too.

Hello,
thanks for the update. I try update the code machinery [1] over
the next weeks to work with the new format (and radical redesign).
