Install openmooc

Hi all,

I am new in openmooc. I want to install openmooc into my laptop which having ubuntu OS. I found documents for centOS only.. Should I install centOS before installing openmooc? or thats is possible in ubuntu ????

Currently the OpenMOOC project is based on CentOS 6. 

We did not deployed it on ubuntu OS.  If you want to test the platform I recommend you to use the OpenMOOC Virtual Machine.

We are working on make the installation process easier by building rpms (for centOS) and improving the documentation.

There are some functionality that were disabled:

• The Peer Review functionality requires a Amazon S3 account (and some configuration that is not in this virtual machine).
• the statistics module (which is useless without huge amount of users)
  

The rest of the functionality is available.

I downloaded the virtual machine. But it loading the OS too slowly.Taking around half an hour ..Why its so????

In which machine are you running the appliance? It should start up in a few minutes. Should be a performance problem
