Hi,

There is a field named 'content id or URL' on the course creation screen. What is meany by 'content id' here? How is it different from URL?
Is there a way I can stream a video from my local machine instead of using youtube etc as content providers?

Thanks
Sushant

Hi Susan,

By "content id" we refer to the ID of the video, p.e. if the youtube
URL is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-vli7PZ0-I&list=FLofbPFLEC2Pc0cpolj2fClQ
the ID would be: J-vli7PZ0-I and the full URL is the URL. It doesn't
matter how you put the content, we'll parse the field according to the
content type you select :)

Currently we do not support streaming content from you locaql machine
or server, and I don't know if it's planned or not, but feel free to
implement it if you can! :)

Regards,
Oscar

Hi Sushant.

What that field expects is a url of a media of the supported media providers, or the ID of that media in the provider. The supported media providers right now are: YouTube, Vimeo, Scribd and Prezi.

Using a YT video as example. The field expects a:

- ID: eW3gMGqcZQc

Any of these values will work fine.

Right now there is no way to use local-stored videos, the platform only supports remote providers.

Regards.
