WG: [openmod-initiative] [WHY] Summer course on Modeling

Hi transport and EV modelers,

 

just wanted to raise awareness for the summer school below. Some of you may already have read about it via the Strommarktgruppenverteiler. It seems like a good course to learn how to integrate user behavior (which becomes more important for EV modeling) into tools.

 

AFAIK, the course hasn’t fully been uploaded yet but it seems worth evaluating to participate. Unfortunately, I won’t make it due to a strategy workshop, but I believe our little openmod-trans community could profit from it. In case so. Participates maybe we could revive our idea of openmod-trans seminars for some knowledge sharing?

 

Application deadline is June 6^th.

Dear Open Moders,

The University of Deusto is running an online Summer Course on Energy Behavior Modelling. The course will consist on 5 synchronous sessions plus some homework where the student will learn about:

• the importance of Energy Behavior Modelling,
• how to cluster smart meter data,
• how to build causal diagrams, and finally
• how to adjust causal models,
• how to exploit the models,

The sessions will use open source libraries on R and Python for the different sessions. We will use Colab Notebooks in order to work online and we will be provided records of the sessions in the YouTube channel of the WHY project after the event.
