Dear open transport modelers,

last Tuesday we had the honor to showcase VencoPy to the community and a lot of interesting questions and suggestions came up – some known, some new.

A topic that sparked the interest of more than one participant was “how many single EV profiles do I need to represent a fleet?”. Since this is a question, we at DLR (because of our approach) don’t really tackle, I thought, I’d bring it to this community mailing list.

I assume at least Gerhard and Carlos have some experiences and Jarusch asked for more systematic assessments beyond a mere “it seems like after 50 profile nothing changes anymore”. So if you ran any tests or know of publications, maybe you could share them here.

I hope you all are safe in these exponential times

Niklas
