PhD Position at FHV: charging management of e-busses in public transport

Dear community,

At the Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences, Austria, we are looking for PhD candidate who is willing to work in the field of charging management of e-busses in public transport. The position is offered in the Energy Systems and Components research group, which has a focus on consumer-side load management.
In order to develop an optimized charging management, the project will first collect measurement data, assess IT framework conditions of the charging infrastructure and evaluate the experiences and needs of associated e-bus operators in the Lake Constance region. In combination with the current e-buses time schedule, weather and energy grid information, an optimization model will then create real-time control signals for the e-buses and the charging infrastructure.
