Dear OpenModders,

Registration is open for Energy Infrastructure Planning Under Uncertainty, a full-day workshop taking place September 11, 2026 as part of the Power Up conference at the University of Colorado Boulder. We would appreciate your help in spreading the word to interested participants!

Workshop Description:
Energy infrastructure planning models determine the optimal size, location, and timing of generation and transmission assets under conditions of deep uncertainty, and decarbonization has fundamentally shifted that uncertainty landscape. This workshop brings together researchers and practitioners to ask whether richer representations of uncertainty are needed in modern planning, and what role stochastic programming, robust optimization, and distributionally robust optimization can and should play in real-world capacity expansion modeling.

How to attend (registration is for the full conference)
The workshop is part of PowerUp 2026, a new single-track research conference on the future of power systems running September 9-11 in Boulder. There is no separate registration for
our workshop.

Registration: https://power-up.us/registration
Deadline: August 30, 2026
Rates: $200 students, $300 non-students
Workshop date: September 11, 2026, 08:30 to 17:00, University of Colorado Boulder
