Dear open modellers,

Here is an open app that takes today's market data for demand, solar,
wind and hydro in Germany and scales it up to make a fully renewable system:

https://model.energy/future/

https://github.com/PyPSA/nowcast

It's updated once a day, runs always with 24 hours foresight, and has
been run one-day-at-a-time with data from 2015 onwards.

It was inspired by many similar efforts:

https://reneweconomy.com.au/a-near-100-per-cent-renewables-grid-is-well-within-reach-and-with-little-storage/

https://www.agora-energiewende.de/service/agorameter

https://www.energy-charts.info/charts/power_simulated/chart.htm?l=en&c=DE

But with the novelty that:

- It's completely open (code and data)
- It also dispatches storage, include long-term storage based on
hydrogen values (cf. hydro dispatch)
- It offers multiple scenarios
- It also models market prices

Technical details and warnings are on the front page.

Happy to have any feedback!

Best,

Tom
