Hi openmods,

Yesterday, a study was published in Nature Climate Change on the „cost and attainability of meeting stringent climate targets without overshoot“, developed in the Horizon 2020 project ENGAGE (see engage-climate.org).

You can read the full manuscript at https://rdcu.be/cCg3c (doi: https://doi.org/10.1038/s41558-021-01215-2)

More importantly for those who like scenario data and (open-source) analysis…

1. You can access the scenario data supporting this work via the ENGAGE ScenarioExplorer at https://data.ece.iiasa.ac.at/engage under a license that permits reuse (but not republication, don’t @ me)

2. The Jupyter notebooks for generating the figures & analysis are available open-source on GitHub at https://github.com/iiasa/ENGAGE-netzero-analysis - and there is also a rendered version on https://data.ece.iiasa.ac.at/engage-netzero-analysis for those who don’t have the time to install Python...

Hoping that some of you find this interesting and useful!

Best,
Daniel
