WPD Data Science Challenges

I'm very happy to announce that we will be running a series of short energy focused data science challenges in the coming months. After the success of the original Presumed Open Data project (https://www.westernpower.co.uk/projects/presumed-open-data-pod) and the associated data science challenge*, Western Power Distribution, with support from Energy Systems Catapult, would like to run three challenges on various energy systems topics in order to:
1. Demonstrate the value of making new data sets openly available.
2. Highlight some of the major data driven challenges facing distribution network operators.
3. Help build a community of energy data science enthusiasts.
4. Showcase state-of-the-art data science and machine learning methods for energy system problems.
