Energiewende YouTubes (in German)

Hi all

Last week, the Energy Systems of the Future project, based in Berlin, released three new short German‑language animations on YouTube:

The production was by Ellery Studio and is certainly contemporary. The underlying position paper is available in German:

• acatech, Leopoldina, and Akademienunion (October 2021). Wenn nicht jetzt, wann dann — wie die Energiewende gelingt — Impuls [If not now, when — how the energiewende succeeds — Impulse] (in German). Germany: acatech, Leopoldina, Akademienunion. Energiesysteme der Zukunft (ESYS) project.

Also, some of the background material is being translated into english and should become available before Christmas.  The overarching messages are essentially: acknowledge complexity, treat as integrated problem, and level with the public.

The videos themselves are interesting in that they seek to communicate this kind of difficult subject matter using short animations.
