self-application for the Renewables Grid Initiative (RGI) Grid Awards 2024

Each year, the Berlin‑based Renewables Grid Initiative (RGI) disburses good practice awards.
I am floating the idea that the openmod should self‑apply for this year. The application deadline is 21 July 2024.

Note that the overarching subcategory is restricted by visibility to openmod forum members only. So you will need a vetted account on that platform to both view and contribute.
I am also looking for the following:

a second person from the openmod to act as a contact

two stakeholders who can provide short testimonials — if you know of someone from outside this community that might be suitable, please contact me with some urgency :)
These testimonials are limited to 2000 chars or about 200 words — so not onerous.
Please note that submission is not a foregone conclusion — if you have reservations about this proposal, please voice these on the forum chat page.

I have a second contact, Lucie Ricq (thanks Lucie). And also testimonials underway from the FSFE and Warsaw‑based Instrat.
So no outstanding requests now.
But still feel free to add your thoughts to the openmod forum
under the following tag:
In the unlikely event that the openmod
gains an award, there will be a presentation in Brussels later
in the year. And no doubt some media interviews, at which point
I will again try to rope in others active in Europe to speak
about our community.
The final submission will be left frozen
on the openmod forum. (I am still thinking about whether to
keep that application page private or make it world‑viewable.)

From my perspective the RGI application is complete. A 600 word Practice Description section is now added. The FSFE has submitted their testimonial. And Instrat still has a few more days to complete their contribution.

Our RGI application for a Grid Award under the category of Technological Innovation and System Integration was submitted in its entirety this afternoon:
Yu can scroll down to read the second testimonial from Polish think tank Instrat.
The judging panel is quite diverse — probably useful in our case:
If you spot anything desperately wrong
with the application, please let me know and I can chase RGI for
a correction.
