Hello all (BCC also to DH and GS)
To let people know that the video recordings from the recent openmod workshop held at IIASA, Laxenburg (near Vienna), Austria last month are currently being edited and titled. And all going well, the finished MP4 files will be uploaded to the openmod YouTube channel within the week from now:
All the plenary (main) sessions were recorded — with the
exception of the keynote from the US Energy Information
Administration. That therefore includes the various 4 minute
lightening talks — but not the other sessions (which were
conducted in other rooms), so none of the break‑outs were
captured.
For the record, organizing for the IIASA workshop was conducted under this forum tag (which you can screen for using the advanced search dialog):
And the group photograph will be available in due course
too.
Looking forward to the next workshop, several options are on the table. Some very preliminary decisions were made during the wrap‑up session at IIASA, but these various indications needed to be simultaneously developed and subject to further discussion and endorsement by the wider community. Much of that process will take place on this mailing list and on the openmod forum under this tag:
One of the clear indications from the IIASA workshop was that the
frequency should be once and not twice per year.
with best wishes, Robbie
PS: My appreciation to the organizers of the IIASA workshop —
which ran very smoothly. And particularly the interns (is that
the right term?) and catering staff that worked hard behind the
scenes.
