Dear Open-Modders:

Big thanks to those in this community that contributed to the 2026 Energy Modelling Platform - Global (EMP-G). It's one of the biggest open-source energy modelling lovefests and has been going strong annually since 2019. And many in this group volunteer ...

It has a special focus on developing countries, where much of the energy investment action and climate impacts are happening. It brings together a large number of organisations that help develop and co-creatively apply a selection of open-source energy and integrated assessment tools and services.

If you want to see a little more, please go to: https://indico.ictp.it/event/11151 there are a ton of posts from participants on the CCG LinkedIn page, please feel free to pop by if of interest: https://www.linkedin.com/company/climate-compatible-growth-ccg/ (sorry about LinkedIn Robbie 🙂)

I have pasted a picture of this year's cohort (we wrapped up last week) in the mail. The EMP-G joins the EMP-LAC, EMP-A(frica) & EMP-APAC. And was spun off from the ECMP in Europe.

Best, Mark
