Dear Colleagues,

The second Energy Modelling Platform for Latin America now has applications open. We have found some funding due to brilliant contributions from partners for in person attendance. Details here. Please forward to folk in LAC countries who may have an interest in attending.

Some time back Robbie suggested the idea that we set up a GitHub literacy course as part of the EMP schools (Will Usher was toying with the same notion earlier). The EMP meetings target analysts (as a start) with no Python and coding background. The addition of the course might form a nice bridge to the PyPSA, Calliope, Temoa, OSeMOSYS-PuLP, FlexTool etc etc. communities. Please do ping if setting something up along these lines would be generally useful - and you'd like to be a part of the same.

Thanks for the shout-out below Max. This is an amazing and diverse community. Happy to - in a very small way - 'bang the drum' (!!)

Best, Mark
