Decision-support for the selection of open-source energy system modeling frameworks

Hello all

I just submitted a project funding application as an individual to scheme overseen by the German research ministry (BMBF) and the Open Knowledge Foundation (OKF). Application PDFs in German (official) and English (back‑translation) attached.

This is clearly small project. But the point remains that these kinds of overarching issues need progressing. Many within our domain relate to data and data standards, so this proposal is a little unusual in that regard. But matters of uptake and usability should also be on the table.

Successful bids should be advised during December 2023 (no doubt with an avalanche of paperwork to follow).  And also expect to be harassed downtrack if this proposal succeeds, as to what your needs and expectations are in this context.
