If anybody is thinking of responding to this Sloan Foundation call for letters of inquiry pitching work on energy systems interactions in the US and would like to partner with Catalyst for input data wrangling and reproducible data preparation, we would definitely be interested!
With the recent uncertainty around continued access to US federal datasets we've expanded our archiving efforts substantially beyond the data that's already being used in PUDL. The list of available archives is in our community on Zenodo and they will be updated with new snapshots monthly. If anybody feels like checking whether individual archives contain everything they need in order to be useful in the absence of the original federal sources, that would be helpful feedback.

We also published our quarterly update to PUDL last week. Versioned Parquet outputs are now publicly available and documented, and can be a convenient way to access the data without needing to download everything in advance:
