Dear OpenModders, I'm making you aware of a new grant we've just launched in conjunction with the Smart Energy Data Service (SENSE) we recently launched.

Energy Systems Catapult (ESC) is inviting high-quality research proposals to help turn complex energy data into actionable Net Zero solutions.

We are looking for UK-based researchers and academics to leverage data-driven insights to solve complex challenges within the UK’s energy and transport systems.

What’s available:
💡 Up to £40,000 per project
📅 Up to 12 months (starting by 1 October 2026)
📊 Must use at least one SENSE dataset (see Data Catalogue here: https://data.sdr-sense.org.uk/ )

⏰ Deadline: Monday 1st June 2026 (11:59pm)
