Hi openmods,

Many of you probably followed the media overage of the AR6 WG1 report last week, and some maybe even browsed through the SPM itself.

If you want to use or build on some of the figures in the SPM - the data was released under a CC-BY license at [1]. But it doesn’t use a consistent format and the files are a bit tricky to work with, so Zeb Nicholls and I compiled the data into clean csv files following the IAMC format - which is also used by IPCC WG3.

And we wrote several python Jupyter notebooks to replicate key SPM figures, using our community packages scmdata and pyam as well as matplotlib. Check out the the repo at https://github.com/openscm/AR6-WG1-Data-Compilation

Hoping that some of you find this helpful and it can save a few minutes here and there when others want to build on the WG1 work or just use the plots as background or reference in their own work...

Best,
Daniel
