Open access, community-based journal

Dear All,

A few colleagues and I are planning to set up a special issue around energy (and beyond) modelling and we're considering different options.

Would anybody be able to recommend a journal in the field of energy modelling that is open access and is run by the community? Something like Social Ecological Systems MOdelling (https://sesmo.org/), only for energy modelling.
