I developed a mobile app and the app is working good,
i'm trying to host openmobster on public IP and when i'm trying to activate with public IP over internet,i'm getting some errors, below are the errors.

App Activation Failure

Class=org.openmobster.android.api.rpc.MobileService
Method=invoke
Param(0)=Service being Invoked=provisioning
Param(1)=Exception=java.lang.RuntimeException:An unknown error occured in the device network layer!!
Param(2)=Message=An unknown error occured in the device network layer!!

but the same is working good over local lan wih internal IP.

below are the parameters i'm using

internal ip : 10.10.0.15

i started jboss with

Hi Nandakishore,

Thank you for the reply, sorry i did not mention my OS, i'm working on Windows server only, i did bind my jboss server with my local IP.
My problem is i'm not able to activate my mobile app with Public IP.
when i'm trying to activate my mobile app i'm getting the below error.

App Activation Failure

Class=org.openmobster.android.api.rpc.MobileService
Method=invoke
Param(0)=Service being Invoked=provisioning
Param(1)=Exception=java.lang.RuntimeException:An unknown error occured in the device network layer!!
Param(2)=Message=An unknown error occured in the device network layer!!

thanks & regards,

Hi,

Did you tried to access http://203.193.148.111/o/ on your device browser,if you can able to access this page on your device then try to disable your firewall which may be blocking your port number.
I had similar issue but resolved by following my above link.

Thanks & Regards,
Nandakishore P

mean time start your server using -c openmobster -b 203.193.148.111 instead of using  -c openmobster -b 10.10.0.15
