Deploy OpenMobster to OpenShift JBoss Server

Hello all,

Has anyone had any success deploying openmobster to a jboss server running via Openshift? 

The install docs for openmobster state:

Step 2: Copy cloudServer/hsqdb/openmobster to the JBoss AS server directory. cloudServer/hsqldb/

I found what i believe is the correct place to upload the openmobster files (/opt/jboss-as-7.1.1.Final/modules/org/jboss/as/server) however i don't have the permissions to upload the files there. Is there a way around the permission issue? Or am i just pushing this to the wrong location?

Hi Randy,

OpenMobster currently runs only on the JBoss-5.1.0.GA server. It has not been packaged to run on JBoss7 yet. 

It looks like you are trying to run it on a JBoss 7 instance which is not supported yet.

I have had OpenMobster running on an Amazon Ec2 instance running JBoss 5. I don't have any experience with OpenShift, but if you can get an OpenShift instance running JBoss 5, in theory you should be able to run it there. Let me know how it goes.

thanks for the reply. I just noticed the 5.1 requirement. I am setting up a local 5.1 instance now. I'll try moving to openshift if i get this to work!
