Is there a method to specify that we get notified when there is a post?

Hi John,

Good question, you can change your membership settings to receive email every time someone post a message. See https://support.google.com/groups/answer/1047839?hl=en&ref_topic=2459492 and look for the "Choose how frequently you get email from the group" option and choose "Send me an email for every new message".

We choose google group to allow everybody to chose how they receive and read messages.
